The most magical moment of the year has arrived: Zurich’s Christmas markets open their doors, and just like in a children’s storybook, the sky always knows. Every single year, on the exact day the stalls open, soft snow begins to fall. It’s as if the Alps themselves sprinkle powdered sugar over the city to welcome the season. ❄️✨

This video invites you to the very first evening when thousands of tiny lights flicker on at once. Walk with us under a shared umbrella as the snowflakes dance between glowing wooden chalets. Bahnhofstrasse, Switzerland’s most famous shopping street, suddenly feels like the coziest village lane: pine garlands, steaming mugs of Glühwein, and the gentle scent of cinnamon and roasted almonds fill the air.

Listen to the excited laughter of children racing toward the giant singing Christmas tree at Werdmühleplatz, where choirs hidden inside the branches fill the night with carols. Glide past the twinkling Circle of Lights at Fraumünster, where huge illuminated rings float above the square like friendly moons. Step into the warm glow of the historic Hauptbahnhof market, where the smell of bubbling raclette and fresh waffles wraps around you like a hug.

A vásár 2025. november 14-től egészen december 31-ig várja a látogatókat. Fontos, hogy a kézműves árusok és a gyerekek kedvence, a kisvonat december 28-ig működik, utána már csak a gasztronómiai része marad nyitva. A nyitvatartás a következőképpen alakul: hétfőtől csütörtökig 11 és 21 óra között, pénteken és szombaton 11-től 22 óráig, vasárnap pedig 11-től 21 óráig van nyitva a vásár. December 24-én rövidített, 10 és 14 óra közötti nyitvatartásra számíthatunk; karácsony első és második napján 12 és 18 óra között lehet látogatni. Szilveszter éjjel pedig egészen hajnali 3 óráig ünnepelhetünk itt. És hogy mit találsz a vásárban? Körülbelül 100 kézműves stand kínál tradicionális magyar termékeket: kerámiákat, üvegárut, bőr- és faárukat, karácsonyi díszeket, textil ajándékokat, natúr szappanokat és mézes, illetve paprikás különlegességeket. Emellett természetesen rengeteg gasztronómiai élmény vár: forralt bor, kürtőskalács, mézeskalács, marhapörkölt, kolbászok, sült finomságok és édes ünnepi desszertek. A tér hangulatát egy hatalmas, gyönyörűen feldíszített karácsonyfa, fényinstallációk és óriási karácsonyi díszek teszik még varázslatosabbá. A gyerekeknek külön élmény a kisvonat, amely hétköznap délután 2 és este 8, hétvégén pedig reggel 11 és este 8 között működik.
